Ukraine launched a massive overnight drone attack on Russia's Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, disabling two major grain terminals and targeting a naval base. According to Russian industry sources, the attack put grain exports at risk, with most of these exports being shipped via its Black Sea ports like Novorossiysk.

Russia is the world's largest wheat exporter, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on social media that Ukraine had hit Russia's Novorossiysk naval base with drones, missiles, and unmanned boats. The attack has raised concerns about grain prices and food security in Africa and the Middle East.

The Financial Times reported that Ukraine has halted its strikes on tankers servicing the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which carries Kazakh oil exports to market, after a request from US Vice President JD Vance. However, it is unclear whether the CPC or tankers collecting oil from the pipeline were targeted in the attack.
