Ukraine Temporarily Adjusts Export Prices for Grain Exports Amidst Port Attacks
The Ukrainian government has introduced an emergency measure to support grain exports amidst Russia's attacks on Black Sea port infrastructure. The Cabinet of Ministers has temporarily adjusted the minimum export price requirements for selected agricultural commodities, making it possible for farmers to conclude new contracts under commercially viable conditions.
Previously established prices had become economically unrealistic due to higher logistics costs and lower domestic purchasing prices. The revised pricing mechanism will remain in effect until market conditions stabilize.
The government has also instructed the relevant ministries to prepare a plan to expand agricultural processing within Ukraine, with the aim of increasing domestic value-added production and processing capacity.
