Ukraine's Duty-Free Wheat Export Quota Exhausted, Prices Plummet

Ukraine has reached its quota for duty-free wheat exports to the EU, forcing exporters to pay duties on further shipments.

This change makes Ukrainian grain uncompetitive in the European market, leading to a sharp decline in activity from European buyers.

As a result, Ukrainian wheat exports are now mainly directed towards the ports of the Danube and Constanta in Romania.

The exhaustion of the EU quota has led to increased price pressure on wheat in Ukraine, with internal prices continuing to decline despite rising prices for food wheat at the port of Constanta.
