Ukraine's Grain Exports Strained by Blockaded Ports

Ukraine has exported approximately 590,000 metric tons of grain since August 1st, which accounts for only about 30% of its needs. This was reported by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky during a conversation with journalists.

Vysotsky stated that the blockade of the ports in Greater Odesa has severely impacted Ukraine's ability to export grain. Despite this, he believes that alternative logistics routes could potentially increase the figure to 50% under the condition of continued blockade.

The Ministry is seeking international assistance to address storage capacity issues. According to Vysotsky, partners have already confirmed $10 million for providing temporary grain storage facilities, which would allow creating capacity for 2-2.5 million tons.
