Ukraine's Grain Harvest Forecast Surges as Weather Conditions Improve

The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) has revised its forecast for Ukraine's 2026 grain and oilseed harvest upwards, projecting 84.6 million tonnes, a 1 million tonne increase from the previous estimate.

This optimistic outlook is attributed to favorable weather conditions, sufficient soil moisture, and higher expected yields of early crops.

UGA experts predict that Ukraine's grain and oilseed exports in the 2026/27 marketing year could reach nearly 52 million tonnes, up from 41.1 million tonnes in the previous season, provided that operations at Ukraine's deep-water ports are fully restored and Russia ends its attacks on Ukraine's transport infrastructure.

The forecast for specific crops shows wheat production is expected to reach 23.7 million tonnes, with potential exports of 18 million tonnes, up from 14 million tonnes in the previous season.
