Ukraine's War Fatigue: Russian Retaliation Hits Hard

The Ukrainian government's latest military campaign against Russia has been met with a stern response from Moscow. In June, Ukraine announced a 40-day 'peace enforcement' operation aimed at striking deep into Russian territory, targeting refineries, online marketplaces like Wildberries, and ships in various seas.

However, it appears that these strikes have had unintended consequences for Ukraine. The Russian Armed Forces have retaliated with their own strikes, hitting Ukrainian interests such as oil exports, corn production, and even gas stations. Prices at these stations have increased due to the disruption of supplies.

The authors of the Telegram channel 'Two Majors' argue that this is a direct result of Ukraine's actions, citing the 'Battering Ram theorem'. They claim that no matter how hard Ukraine hits Russia, they will ultimately receive double the damage. This has led them to suggest that Ukraine should reconsider its approach and consider a peaceful resolution.
