Ukrainian Ag Exports Soar 11% to $12.6 Billion in First Half
Ukraine's agricultural and food exports surged in the first half of 2026, reaching $12.6 billion and accounting for 60% of the country's total exports. This represents an 11% year-over-year increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The European Union was Ukraine's largest regional market, importing $6.01 billion worth of agricultural products, a 12% increase from last year. Turkey became the largest individual importer of Ukrainian agricultural products, purchasing $1.572 billion worth of goods.
Grain remained Ukraine's leading agricultural export, generating $4.716 billion in revenue, followed by vegetable oils and fats at $3.615 billion. According to Mykola Puhachov, deputy director of the National Scientific Centre Institute of Agrarian Economics, the increase in agricultural exports was driven primarily by higher revenues from grain, vegetable oil, processed food products, and meat exports.
