Ukrainian Agricultural Exports Plummet 47.5% in August

Ukraine's agricultural exports took a significant hit in August, plummeting by nearly half compared to July. According to Spike Brokers' weekly market review, Ukraine exported 47.5% less agricultural produce from August 1 to 27 than during the same period in July.

The sharpest decline was recorded in grain exports, with wheat, corn, and barley shipments falling 69.5%. Exports to Türkiye saw the steepest drop, plunging 79%, while rail shipments of agricultural products to ports also fell sharply by 81.8% between August 1 and 26.

The decline in Ukrainian supplies has contributed to rising global grain prices. Wheat prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange climbed 12.1% over the week, reaching their highest level in more than three years.
