Ukrainian Grain Markets See Mixed Results in June
The Ukrainian grain and oilseeds market experienced significant changes in June 2026. The AgroMarket UUB from the Ukrainian Universal Exchange published an analytical report on the dynamics of the Ukrainian and global markets for the month.
In Ukraine, the wheat market saw a downward trend due to the approaching new harvest and favorable news regarding early grain yields. Farmers held back sales at low prices, preferring to sell rapeseed instead. This led to decreased purchasing prices at ports by the end of the month.
The average domestic prices for 2nd-grade wheat fell by 5.85% to 9,552 UAH/ton, while port prices dropped to $209-$211/ton from $222-$226/ton in May.
Corn experienced the largest decline among grains, with weak demand from exporters and downward trends on external platforms contributing to the pressure on the market. However, stable demand from domestic processors who were building up long-term stocks prevented prices from falling further.
