Ukrainian Grain Prices Plummet Amid Export Suspensions
The Ukrainian Universal Exchange has released updated price data for grains and oilseeds in Ukraine from September 1 to 7, 2026. The market is experiencing minimal activity due to the suspension of deep-water exports and ongoing strikes on port infrastructure.
Corn prices have dropped by 2.25% over the past week, with an average internal price of 7,256.42 UAH/ton. Port prices for corn are at $177.9/ton (DAP-Danube). The December contract for corn in Chicago settled at $211.3/ton, while Euronext November quotations were at $311.4/ton.
The wheat market is under pressure due to significant physical supply and limited export channels. Average internal prices for wheat have dropped by 4.93% for 2nd grade, 1.40% for 3rd grade, and 5.35% for 4th grade. Port prices for wheat are at $171.1/ton (DAP-Danube). External exchanges reacted sharply to the withdrawal of the military premium, with December futures falling to $269.7/ton in Chicago.
The sunflower segment is experiencing a rapid expansion of physical supply, forcing plants to lower purchase prices again. Working bids of plants dropped to 19,700-20,000 UAH/ton EXW, while indicative prices at Danube ports reached 21,300-21,600 UAH/ton.
