Ukrainian Wheat Prices See Gradual Decline Amid Export Market Pressure
Ukrainian wheat prices continued to decline last week due to factors on both the export market and domestic supply chains, according to APK-Inform analysts.
The near-complete halt in exports weighed heavily on prices, while millers reported extremely limited supplies of high-quality wheat. Instead, farmers were offering mainly Class 3 wheat and feed wheat at unchanging asking prices.
Only producers who urgently needed working capital were actively selling grain during the week. Bid prices for Class 2 wheat and feed wheat were quoted between UAH 7,200-9,000 per ton CPT and UAH 5,700-8,000 per ton CPT, respectively.
At Ukrainian ports, milling wheat and feed wheat saw price drops of $8-20 per ton to $170-190 per ton CPT port and $155-175 per ton CPT port, respectively.
