Ukrainians' Utility Debts Exceed 100 Billion UAH
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine has released data showing that Ukrainians' debts for utilities exceeded 100 billion UAH as of June 30. The largest unpaid amounts were for heating and gas, with a debt of 33.8 billion UAH for thermal energy and hot water supply, followed by 29.1 billion UAH for natural gas.
The data also shows that Ukrainians owed 17.3 billion UAH for electricity, 10.5 billion UAH for centralized water supply and sewage, and 10.1 billion UAH for apartment building management. The smallest amount of debt was for household waste management, at 3.4 billion UAH.
In the second quarter of 2026, the population was charged 53.5 billion UAH for housing and communal services, while 67.1 billion UAH was paid.
