Uniper Locks In Canadian LNG as Germany Diversifies Long-Term Supply
German energy company Uniper has secured a long-term contract for liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Canada's proposed Ksi Lisims project in British Columbia. This deal is part of an emerging trade relationship between Germany and Canada, as both countries seek to diversify their energy supplies.
The agreement will provide Uniper with a stable supply of Canadian LNG, bolstering Germany's efforts to reduce its reliance on Russian gas. The Ksi Lisims project has already reached half of its contracted capacity, demonstrating the growing demand for this new source of energy.
