US and Iran Engage in Escalation of Military Operations in Strait of Hormuz
The US and Iran have engaged in an escalation of military operations in the Strait of Hormuz. On Saturday, US Central Command (Centcom) conducted strikes on multiple Iranian crude oil carriers due to 'multiple unprovoked' attacks from Iran on two American warships.
IRGC Navy forces claimed that a U.S. military vessel was remotely-operated and had been trying to enter a restricted portion in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Press TV. The IRGC stated that they were closely monitoring the enemy's moves 'with the grace and favor of Almighty God.'
Per Centcom, US forces 'permanently disabled' three IRGC crude oil carriers near Kharg Island and in the Gulf of Oman. There were no U.S. service members harmed in the Iranian attacks.
The US military has made it clear that they will not hesitate to defend American forces and destroy Iran's limited and exposed oil fleet, according to Centcom Commander Adm. Brad Cooper.
