US Commodities Markets Fall Across the Board
The Chicago Board of Trade reported declines in corn and soybean futures on Tuesday, August 11, while wheat and live cattle futures fell as well. Corn futures for September dropped by 1 cent to $4.37 per bushel, with December down 9 cents at $4.60 per bushel. Soybean futures for September were down 11 cents at $11.50 per bushel, and November was off by the same amount at $11.67 per bushel.
Wheat futures also fell, with September down 10 cents at $6.30 per bushel, and December down 18 cents at $6.48 per bushel. Live cattle futures declined, with October down $65 to $226.25 per hundredweight, and December off by $42 at $225.52 per hundredweight.
On the other hand, feeder cattle futures rose, with September up $40 at $344.97 per hundredweight, and October gaining $57 at $336.45 per hundredweight.
