US Corn Export Inspections Meet Pace, Wheat Lags Behind
Corn export inspections in the United States are continuing at a strong pace, meeting the USDA's estimate for the current marketing year. The main destinations for U.S. corn during the week ending August 13th were key trading partners Mexico and Japan, which import primarily for livestock feed usage.
The top exports for other grains also showed significant activity. Wheat inspections came in at 493,401 tons, up from the previous week but still below last year's numbers. The primary destinations for wheat were Japan and Mexico.
