US Corn Export Sales Soar to 1.99 Million Metric Tons
New-crop U.S. corn export sales surged to nearly double the previous week's figures, reaching 1.99 million metric tons during the week ended August 27.
This significant increase is attributed to strong demand from key buyers, including Mexico and Japan, which purchased 665,000 tons and 371,800 tons respectively.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) data also showed that soybean sales totaled 1.95 million tons, although this was down from the previous week's 2.48 million tons.
China accounted for a substantial portion of soybean purchases, with 972,000 tons sold.
