US Corn Futures Reach Multi-Year Highs Amid Production Concerns
A surge in corn futures has led to contract and multi-year highs as production prospects for the U.S. crop are below previous expectations.
The shortfall in production is leading to concerns over demand, resulting in higher volatility, making it prudent for producers to actively take advantage of higher prices by selling a portion of their old-crop stocks.
Pro Farmer advises corn producers to sell 10% of old-crop stocks and be fully sold on 2025 production.
Soybean futures, however, have run into resistance at the July highs due to promising production prospects despite challenges faced by the corn crop throughout the growing season.
