US Crude Oil Output and Demand Hit Monthly Highs

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), crude oil output and demand for petroleum products in the United States both rose in June. The EIA's Petroleum Supply Monthly report showed that crude output climbed to 13.79 million barrels per day, up from May's 13.76 million bpd.

This marks a monthly record high of sorts, as October 2025 saw 14 million bpd. Meanwhile, U.S. demand for crude oil and petroleum products rose to 20.74 million bpd in June, surpassing May's 20.07 million bpd.

However, this still falls short of the monthly record high of 21.67 million bpd set in August 2005. Additionally, U.S. gross natural gas production hit 135.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in June, up from May's 134.2 bcfd.

While this marks an increase from the previous month, it remains shy of the monthly record high of 136.0 bcfd reached in December 2025. Texas saw a 1.3% rise in gas production to a record 39.2 bcfd, while Pennsylvania experienced a 1.0% decline to 21.1 bcfd.
