US Crude Oil Production and Demand See Slight Gains in June
US crude oil production and demand have both seen increases in June, according to data from the Energy Information Administration. Crude oil production rose to 13.79 million barrels per day, up from 13.76 million barrels per day in May. This marks the second consecutive monthly increase in production.
The demand for crude oil and petroleum products has also risen, reaching 20.74 million barrels per day in June, compared to 20.07 million barrels per day in May. However, this still falls short of the monthly record of 21.67 million barrels per day set in August 2005.
Texas gas output reached a new high in June, with production rising by 1.3% to 39.2 billion cubic feet per day. This surpasses the previous state record of 38.9 billion cubic feet per day, set in April. In contrast, Pennsylvania's gas production declined by 1.0% to 21.1 billion cubic feet per day.
