US Destroys Iranian Oil Tanker in Gulf of Oman Retaliation

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has released footage of its forces destroying an Iranian oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. The unladen crude oil carrier, known as M/T Kylo or Noxen, was struck by multiple critical locations after its crew was directed to abandon ship.

This action follows a series of attacks by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against US Navy warships patrolling regional waters. CENTCOM stated that the IRGC launched ballistic missiles toward two US ships, but they successfully evaded the attack with no American personnel harmed.

Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander, emphasized the message to the IRGC: 'If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost - taking out three of yours.'

CENTCOM also targeted Iranian air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communications sites in recent strikes. This includes areas around Qeshm Island, Chabahar, and Bandar Abbas near the Strait of Hormuz.
