US Diesel Prices Hit Record High Amid Global Market Volatility
Diesel prices in the U.S. have reached a record high of $5.85 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.
This surpasses the previous record set in June 2022 at $5.82 per gallon.
Petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan notes that 'diesel is the fuel that moves the economy.'
The increase in diesel prices has been driven by a mix of geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions, higher crude oil prices, reduced refining capacity, and tight fuel inventories.
