US Energy Prices Jump Amid Iran Aggression
Energy prices in the United States jumped by 14.7 percent on an annual basis during July, largely due to supply disruptions caused by the US-Zionist aggression on Iran.
The data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that gasoline prices rose 24.6 percent on an annual basis, leading the increase in the energy price index.
Natural gas and electricity prices also saw increases, with natural gas up 4.3 percent and electricity up 4.2 percent over the same period.
On a monthly basis, however, the energy price index declined by 1.5 percent during July.
