US Gas Prices Rise for Third Consecutive Week Amid Higher Oil Costs

The recent surge can be attributed to higher oil prices and increased summer demand for fuel. One year ago, the national average price was $3.15.

In New York State, the average gas price has also risen, reaching $4.23, an 8-cent increase from last Monday. A year ago, the state's average gas price was $3.17.
