US Gas Prices Soar as Iran-Ukraine Conflict Rattles Oil Markets
Campbell County's average gas price surged past $4 per gallon on Monday after rising 10 cents over the past week, according to AAA. The Wyoming average also increased by 12 cents to $4.14, while GasBuddy's national average stood at $4.06.
The national average has risen 23.9 cents in a month and is now 95.6 cents higher than last year, with diesel prices climbing 17.8 cents to reach $5.26 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, attributed the price increases to overseas conflicts putting sustained pressure on energy markets.
