US Gold Price Slumps Amid Fed Rate Uncertainty
The price of gold in the United States has been trading near its lowest level since November 2025, at around $4,020-$4,033 per troy ounce. This comes as investors await the next policy update from the Federal Reserve and sentiment surrounding interest rates and the dollar remains a concern.
For US buyers, the indicative price for 24K, 22K, and 18K gold was $133 per gram, $126 per gram, and $103.10 per gram, respectively. Gold has historically performed well in the long term, with a return of 33.53% in INR over one year and 185.92% over five years.
Despite the current downturn, Commerzbank's forecast suggests that gold may rise to $4,500 per ounce by year-end, although this is not guaranteed due to changing monetary policy and market conditions.
