US Grain Markets Stuck as Corn and Soybean Yields Face Uncertainty
Grain markets have been stuck in neutral lately, unable to muster much of a rally despite strong export demand and favorable weather conditions. The latest USDA crop production and WASDE reports are due out next week, which could provide some clarity on the situation.
US corn yields are expected to be higher than previously thought, with StoneX updating its estimates to 184.8 bushels per acre, above the current USDA estimate of 183.0 bpa. Soybean yields are seen in line with the USDA at 53.0 bpa.
The wheat market has been more volatile, with prices seesawing every other day. The Black Sea region is also a concern for wheat traders, as they await more information on crop conditions and export demand.
