US-Iran Deal Prospects Weaken, Oil Prices Rise

Oil prices rose on Tuesday as expectations of a durable US-Iran agreement weakened.

Tehran's release of six conditions earlier in the week was met with predictable pushback from Washington, which will seek compensation for damages incurred over a five-decade period.

The President added that Iran should also be held accountable for harm and casualties in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Gaza.

Market analysts see upside risk in oil prices as the gap between the US and Iran on potential agreement terms remains wide.
