US-Iran Stalemate Sends Gold and Silver Prices Soaring in Pakistan
The recent stalemate in US-Iran negotiations has led to increased volatility in precious metals. President Trump's demand for historical conflict compensation from Tehran has put peace talks on hold, causing oil prices to spike and fueling inflation fears. As a result, investors are turning to gold and silver as safe-haven assets, driving their prices higher.
In Pakistan, the international shockwaves have led to a sharp increase in local gold and silver prices. The country's Sarafa markets are constantly adjusting prices to absorb these macroeconomic hits. According to recent data, the price of 24K gold has reached Rs. 4,63,873 per tola, while silver is trading at Rs. 6,913.22 per kilogram.
The international spot prices for gold and silver are also on the rise, with gold reaching $4,455.54 per troy ounce and silver hitting $66.402 per troy ounce.
