Anxious investors are aggressively buying gold and silver as safe-haven assets, pushing their prices sharply higher in Pakistan's local Sarafa markets. These markets constantly adjust prices to absorb the macroeconomic hits caused by international shocks.
The current rates for gold and silver in Pakistan are Rs. 4,55,569 per tola, Rs. 3,90,583.3 for 10 grams, and Rs. 39,058.33 for one gram of gold. The prices for silver stand at Rs. 6,907.60 per tola, Rs. 5,922.25 for 10 grams, and Rs. 592.225 for one gram.
The international rates for spot gold are $4,388 per troy ounce, while spot silver stands at $66.471 per troy ounce.
