US-Iran Strikes Send Oil Prices Soaring Amid Supply Fears
Oil prices surged as concerns over supply disruptions intensified after the US and Iran exchanged strikes overnight.
The US Central Command said it launched a series of airstrikes against targets in Iran, prompting an Iranian response.
Brent crude futures rose 87 cents to $95.52 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures climbed 80 cents to $91.02.
The attacks follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region.
