US-Iran Tensions Drive Global Oil Prices Higher
The global oil market is experiencing a surge in prices due to escalating tensions between the US and Iran. Brent crude has risen to $96.54 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude reached $91.71 per barrel.
Murban crude also saw a significant increase, rising by $7 per barrel to $106. This rise in prices is attributed to concerns about potential disruptions to oil supplies from the Middle East, which is a major source of global energy.
The impact of these price increases could be felt in countries that rely heavily on imported petroleum products, including Pakistan, where fuel costs may rise due to higher crude prices.
