US-Iran Tensions Ease, Stocks Mixed, Oil Prices Fall
Stocks on Wall Street ended in a mixed fashion Monday as tensions between the U.S. and Iran eased.
The S&P 500 closed up less than 0.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5%.
The Nasdaq composite fell 0.2% due to a significant drop in AI chip maker Nvidia's stock price, which plummeted by 5%.
Meanwhile, oil prices decreased after the U.S. and Iran paused their attacks on each other while negotiations to end the conflict resumed.
Brent crude fell 6.3% to $85.87 per barrel, down from its peak of $102 a barrel last week.
