US-Iran Tensions Send Oil Prices Lower
Global oil prices saw a slight decline on Thursday amidst renewed military tensions between the United States and Iran.
Brent crude futures fell by $0.43, or 0.45%, to $95.20 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures declined by $0.24, or 0.26%, to $90.77 per barrel.
The previous trading session saw significant volatility in both Brent and WTI, rising by as much as $2 per barrel at one point before giving up some of those gains and falling by up to $1 per barrel.
