US-Iran Tensions Send Oil Prices Lower But Weekly Gains Ahead
Oil prices declined on Friday but are still poised to achieve significant weekly gains due to escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.
The Brent crude futures fell by 23 cents, or 0.24%, to $95.29 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate dropped by 54 cents, or 0.59%, to $90.76.
Despite this decline, both Brent and WTI are up for the week, with Brent increasing by 6.1% and WTI gaining 8.3%.
