US-Iran Tensions Send Oil Prices Soaring
The price of Brent crude oil has surged to $94.65 per barrel after new US strikes on Iran, its highest level in five weeks.
This is due to renewed concerns about global energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz following a series of military attacks between Washington and Tehran.
Natural gas prices in Europe also rose by 6.20% to reach their highest level since January 2023, at €74.14 per megawatt-hour.
