US LNG Exports Hit New High Amid Growing Demand

US liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports have seen significant growth in recent months. According to the Energy Information Administration, US LNG plants sent 32 cargoes during the week ending September 2, up one shipment from the previous week.

This marks a slight increase from the previous week's shipments, but it's part of a larger trend of growing US LNG exports. In the first six months of this year, US LNG exports averaged 17.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), a 23 percent increase from the same period in 2025.

The growth in US LNG exports is largely due to increased demand and production capabilities. Cheniere, one of the largest US LNG exporters, has completed its Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 expansion project in Texas and has exported its 5,000th LNG cargo since 2016.
