US LNG Market Surges as New Projects Gain Momentum
The U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) market is gaining momentum as new projects come online, according to Industrial Info Resources.
Globally, LNG supplies may be disrupted due to damage from the war in the Middle East, particularly Qatar, which could see volumes curtailed for up to five years. However, Woodside Energy's Louisiana LNG facility, expected to enter operation by 2028, is making progress, with 28% of construction complete.
The Golden Pass facility, a joint venture between Exxon Mobil and Qatar Energy, has started commissioning, with feed gas levels jumping 70% overnight to reach 586 million cubic feet. Cheniere Energy's Corpus Christi plant also saw an increase in feed gas due to routine maintenance.
