US Markets Poised for Gap-Up Open Amid Crude Oil Price Plunge

US equity markets are poised for a gap-up open on Tuesday, August 25, as investors react to crude oil prices plummeting more than 3% to $87.54 per barrel.

The Dow Jones futures were trading 0.48% higher at 53,756 points ahead of the opening bell, indicating a more than 330-point higher opening compared to Monday's close.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index futures were trading 0.95% higher at 29,385 points, suggesting a 360-point higher open on US equity markets.

Among individual stocks, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) shares surged more than 3% after Raymond James improved its rating of the chipmaking company.
