US Military Hits Three Iranian Oil Tankers Amid Escalating Tensions

The US military has taken action against three Iranian oil tankers in response to what it calls 'multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks' on Navy warships. The US military statement said that an aircraft carrier and a destroyer evaded these missile strikes without any casualties among US personnel.

The US claims that the targeted tankers were part of a shadow network helping to fund Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard.

Iran had previously accused the US of attacking one of its oil tankers near Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf. However, the US military denies this and says it was acting in self-defense after being targeted by Iranian missiles.
