US Navy Blockade Halts Iranian Oil Exports as Tankers Wait Idle
The U.S. Navy's blockade of Iranian seaports is having its intended effect, according to maritime tracking consultancy Windward.
For over a week, loading terminals at Iran's primary oil port on Kharg Island have been inactive, with little sign of an imminent resumption of operations.
All terminals at the island are empty, with no visible movement. Approximately 17 tankers are anchored idle around the port, waiting for clearance to load or unload oil.
