US Oil Prices Surge Amid Inflation Fears
Oil prices continued to rise in US markets on Thursday, with Brent crude up 0.6% at $96.23 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gaining 1.2% to $92.12.
The sustained rise in oil prices has added to inflationary pressures and contributed to heavy selling in the bond market earlier this week.
Oil prices have been on an upward trend in recent days, with Brent crude breaking through the $95 mark and WTI reaching new highs.
