US Oil Production Sees Slight Rise Amid Texas Decline
US oil production rose in June to 13,792 kb/d, an increase of 37 kb/d. The largest contributor to this growth was the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), which saw a 88 kb/d surge.
However, Texas experienced a decline of 75 kb/d, bringing its total oil production down to 5,728 kb/d. This represents a larger-than-normal drop and is not attributed to weather-related factors.
Compared to the same period last year, Texas's production decreased by 28 kb/d. The Permian region continues to see a decline in the number of Drilled but Uncompleted (DUC) wells available for completion, dropping from 1,468 to 1,460 in July.
