US Oil Rig Count Edges Up by Two for Week Ending September 4
The US oil rig count has seen a slight increase, according to data released by Baker Hughes on Friday. The number of rigs rose by just two for the week ending September 4, bringing the total to 449. This modest gain follows an encouraging trend that sees the country's oil rig count up by 35 compared to one year ago.
The prices of both Brent crude futures and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) remained steady at $95.85 per barrel and $91.22 a barrel, respectively. These figures indicate a stable market despite the slight increase in rigs.
