US-Saudi Airstrikes Target Iran-Backed Militias in Eastern Iraq
The US and Saudi Arabia have launched joint airstrikes against Iran-aligned militias in eastern Iraq following a series of drone attacks on US forces and Saudi oil facilities.
The strikes targeted multiple logistics and weapons sites across eastern Iraq, according to officials.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the groups were directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which has been accused of supporting militias in Iraq.
