US, Saudi Arabia Strike Militias as Iran Fires Missiles at Jordan
Jordan's military intercepted five Iranian missiles on Wednesday, while the US and Saudi Arabia launched strikes against militias in Iraq.
The US Central Command said its forces had worked with Saudi Arabia to target sites used by Tehran-backed militias in recent days.
The strikes come after a brief period of calm following weeks of escalation over the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway through which 20% of the world's traded oil normally flows.
