US Secures Control Over 65 Billion Barrels of Venezuelan Oil Reserves
US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the US and Venezuela have reached an agreement on a major oil deal, calling it 'the largest oil deal in world history.'
The deal could give Washington control over more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuela's oil reserves, effectively doubling American oil reserves.
According to Trump, the transaction will increase the oil supply, lower gas prices for US citizens, and bring nearly $100 billion in private investment to Venezuela.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised the agreement on X, highlighting that it secures stable reserves and low-cost oil in the hemisphere, lowers gas prices at home, and supports high-paying jobs and the reconstruction of Venezuela's economy.
