US Sinks Ten Iranian Tankers as Economic Warfare Escalates

The US military has escalated its strategy against Iran by sinking ten Iranian tankers in just one week, marking a significant shift towards economic warfare and isolation. This move is part of President Trump's declared strategy to economically strangle the Islamist regime.

According to U.S. Central Command, these vessels were part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC, and Iran cannot defend them. The strikes came in response to Iran's continued attacks on American naval ships and bases throughout the region.

The US military has already destroyed nearly all of Iran's military capabilities through conventional warfare operations over February and March this year. Since then, the adversaries have exchanged occasional fire, with the remnants of the Iranian regime refusing to surrender.

The blockade against Iran's oil exports had strangled their economy for some time, but the US Treasury Department announced an expansion of that blockade on August 24, dubbed 'Operation Economic Outcast.' This move aims to increase economic pressure on the IRGC by restricting all Iranian exports of oil.
