US Stocks Plunge Again as Oil Prices Soar
U.S. stocks experienced their second consecutive decline on Tuesday as oil prices continued to rise. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 184 points, or 0.34 percent, to close at 53,792.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite slipped 159 points, or 0.60 percent, to finish at 26,445. The broad-based S&P 500 fell about 33 points, or 0.32 percent, to end at 7,720.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices rose by $1 to settle at $83.35 per barrel.
