US Stocks Slide as Oil Prices Surge Amid Iran Conflict Uncertainty
US stocks declined on Thursday as oil prices surged and mixed corporate earnings reports continued to roll in.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 464.02 points, or 0.9%, to 53,885.10, while the S&P 500 dropped 13.59 points, or 0.2%, to 7,709.96.
Oil prices rose 3.8% to $82.49 per barrel of Brent crude as uncertainty persists over the ongoing US war with Iran and its impact on inflation.
